Graduate of Concordia University and holder of a third-degree black belt in Karate-Kenpo, Sensei Pascal Déry benefits from 25 years of experience in sports instruction and is one of the best obstacle sports educators in the country and one of the few athletes to complete the coveted Spartan Delta.
Holder of a PNCE in weightlifting, of a Level 4 of the International Federation of Obstacle Sports (World Obstacle) and a Running certification from the Runner's Clinic, he was the 1st expert instructor Certified by Spartan Race in Canada.

Dedicated to the progression of his discipline, Sensei Pascal is responsible initiatives in education To the Canadian Obstacle Sports Federation (Obstacle Sports CanadaIn collaboration with Pentathlon Canada, he contributes to the development of national and international coaches, as well as the institutional establishment of obstacle sports.
Consequently, Sensei Pascal instructed the first cohort of obstacle sports coaches in Costa Rica in 2025 and is preparing to train a plurality of international instructors in Brazil, on the sidelines of the upcoming Latin American Obstacle Sports Championships. Following his efforts, he has received the privilege of being appointed National coach U15 athletes representing our country at the World Obstacle World Championships in Sweden (2025).
At the same time, Sensei Pascal is the creator of the very first obstacle-study program in the country. Offered to the De Mortagne High School in Boucherville, the curriculum of the Kompra Obstacle Club stimulates the development of its student-athletes by promoting overcoming adversity.
Silver medalist WKC Karate World Championships, marathon runner, Spartan Delta and proud survivor of the Extreme endurance race Agoge of 60 hours, he is the creator of the first obstacle course-studies in the country. Community involvement is a priority for Sensei Pascal, who has been collaborating for over 15 years with the Children's Wish Foundation • Make-A-Wish, participate in the active life of the City of Sainte-Julie and oversees the Serpento Program, in collaboration with the House of mutual aid. This latest initiative offers access to physical activity for young people from low-income families.
Dedicated to lifelong learning and human development, Sensei Pascal has also set up the adventure races Warrior Enduranceand motivational podcasts Sensei Says Podcast (English) and 2 coffees with Sensei (French).
Passionate about adventure, he is constantly looking for countries to discover, challenges to overcome, and new peaks to conquer: in 2023, he reached the highest peak in the continental United States, Mount Whitney, at over 14,500 feet in altitude.
Sensei Pascal's calling is to push everyone beyond their perceived limits and motivate them to achieve their full individual potential.

After 13 hours of hard work, Pascal crossed the finish line of a 50km obstacle course.

Pascal wins silver for Canada at the World Karate Championships.

Extreme Survival
After 72 hours of sleep-deprived overtaking, Pascal completes the extreme "Agoge" test.

Marathon runner
Despite the rain, Pascal completes the 42.2 km Rimouski Marathon run.

Military endurance
Pascal successfully completes the 12-hour GoRuck Tough military endurance race.

High altitude
At over 14,500 feet, Sensei Pascal reached the highest peak in the continental USA.
